An early battle between the top two teams in the league is the main course. Fusion's defense WAS their offense as they posted their first FOUR TDs of the season with defense and special teams. The offense didn't take the field until about 23 seconds left in the first half. Early reports indicate that Fusion's QB had lunch and played a couple hands of solitaire before he threw his first pass. FNG took apart a brand new Avengers team to claim the #2 seed in A. They will be seriously tested this week and can make an early statement by knocking out a strong Fusion team.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:
Vets -21 Dirty Dozen
The defending A-Champs eased into their season by derailing TK Express and now have the Dirty Dozen on their menu. Dirty Dozen held off the Regulators last week and still seem to be underachieving a bit. Can they get downright Dirty against a veteran Vets team to send a message to the rest of the league thay they're ready to realize their potential or will the Vets be too well vaccinated against the disease known as "loss-itis?"
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:
Expendables -16 Brigade
An early season anomaly, I'm sure but the numbers bear out that Expendables might be here to stay. A great way to solidify that perspective would be to beat a re-tooled Brigade that struggled mightily to edge out a crafty Slow Pokes squad. Expendables posted a 17-0 "forfeit" over the Invisi-hawks and have had an extra week to prepare for the Noodle, but it won't be a surprise if Brigade has the Expendables al dente.
