I would think the gap between the Techs and Battalion would be smaller, and why is Nightmare above a team that has beat them 2x? I know they are 3-1 compared to Techs 2-1, but they fell victim to the Techs in Preseason and during the season. Nightmare has the worst defense in "B", but the best offense. Also Mean Machine isn't given enough credit, they have the best defense, and are 3-0 so far, they took a loss to Battalion in the preseason but have seem to work the kinks out, preseason. Then you over rate Tk(What!)...stop letting the Championship from last season hold them over so long! They are 0-3, and ranked last in "B"!!!

Just giving you a hard time, I like the power rankings!

And gives a lot for discussion!!!

Then with that philosophy we should be higher, because one of our losses was because of a forfeit. You line up with the team you show up with, if Pooh takes the snaps, that shouldn't matter. POOH HAS A LOT OF FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE! And has help lead a lot of teams to a successful season! He just needs to know how to make it work for his team. Sheesh you have a lot of people that say, I am not a qb, but I have won a lot of games taking the snap. Because I work within my means. Mean Machine shows they have what it takes to have a good record in their division and make a good run at the end of the day, so when do you start giving them credit?

We'll see after this weekend, where we stand..

Wolfpack knows all to well what we are capable of.

Beating them is our #1 priority right now, considering we lost to them by one point last season, TWICE! (one play away in the playoffs could've sent them packin')

I agree with Hank though, we could come out with cannons blazing or poppin cans with a pellet gun, who knows..

We hit on all 10 cylinders, yes then I think even pooh has to bow down.

Man Gio, I would hate to be on your team, your saying it doesn't count when you win, unless you play the best team that the other team could put together, and your best team is on the field?

I say if I show up with "My team and You show up with "your team"..... then the win counts, otherwise don't show up with your team!

Slowpokes beat us! I am not going to give any excuses, they beat us! It was our fault for only having 5 people. Not theirs, we still showed up and tried to put a game in! Slowpokes deserve that win anyway you look at it. With or without our other 5 people not being there!

Same thing if you have multiple people that can Qb on your team, some qbs play better against a certain defense than others. But as a team you can't recognize that, that is your team's fault. ****, Battalion has 3 qbs ( use that terms loosely "people that take the snap")..... and we are learning what our strengths and weaknesses are and when we need to swap out or mix it up.

That was shown this weekend with the Techs, I took the majority of the snaps, but when we went into overtime, I turned the helm over to Mario, because with his mobility the Techs couldn't make the adjustments to cover our guys and support his running capability. Now, I might have been able to win the game, but I swallowed my pride (which a lot of tbffa players need to learn how to do) and gave my position to a person that I believed had a higher probability of being successful.

And don't get me wrong, I am a winner and I wan't the ball in clutch situations, but I also know I can't do it alone and trust the members on my team to step up and do what is needed to "lighten my load!"

That's a good point to make Wolfe, however it's still a chess match with one caveat. Your team has to be willing to move those chess pieces around "in-game" to see it work for you.

We have pieces that can be moved around easily to make us better, thing is, it's become a win or lose message with what we have, not what gets us the win.

You know I could put the right pieces together to raise our chances.. not my call, so with that in mind, yes our team is what it is and you have never, nor will you ever hear anyone of us whining about rankings or status..

Good luck!

Thing I have found in the Tbffa, is sometimes you have to treat these "Superstars" like your wife!

Its always a bad idea, till its their own!

**wink, wink!

Here's food for thought.

If you are observant you can learn a great deal from other people. Sometimes when you are struggling to master something, seeing another person failing can give you insight into the right way to achieve your objective.

We need to be open to find the way which suits us best and not allow ourselves to be coerced into doing any action the way someone else thinks it should be done. Keeping an open mind about how to do things gives us opportunities which are lost for someone who thinks there is only one way to do things.

Here's my Achilles heel when speaking: Listening to people giving orders or instructing someone else can be enlightening. Some people are unaware of how they speak and how it is received by their listeners. They might think they are giving precise instructions, clearly, yet what is heard is a barked order given in a peremptory manner.

Apparently we learn far more by observation than by what we are told. Other people's mistakes can save us making our own.

Peace

I definitely understand what you mean, about the perception that "advice" is taken, you might mean it as a suggestion. But it could come across as a directive or order. And a lot of people don't take to kindly to that, myself included.

I have and still am trying to learn how to make my "meaning" and the "perception" to be the same. That takes awhile because you have to know your people and personell very well to do that!

Also your caveat, was correct but I would say that you also have to also know as "King" you can not win without your "knight" trusting you and you trusting your "knight" to do what they need to do!

Whether you need to move your chess peices around or not won't matter without trust, even if it the "best thing to do"

That's part of the dynamics of teamwork. Interpersonal relations requires a speaker and a listener. The listener has to trust that there are no ulterior motives when they are receiving input from a teammate. I think that's the wonderful lesson that needs to be learned especially on Battalion. And we are learning it! Once we really internalize that message we are going to be the scariest team in B, I really believe that.

Last week was one where we took great strides in listening without a personal prejudice getting in the way. The team is greater than all of us individually. When we win, they will say that Battalion was the B-Division champion, not Wolfe, Mario and definitely not me.

I think this is a very unique team in terms of the level of aggressive leadership we have here. And I think if we can understand how to lead as a team rather than as individuals we will be very, very good. We are still figuring it out and if it;s something we haven;t learned at home, school, or at work then this team is an acceptable venue to start.

Need a loan for all those $20 words, Southpaw??? :P
