Oh.....ok.....for old times sake......Sportsbook Week 4

Venom      -16      Tech

Venom comes off a nice week off to take on a Techs team that showed that they were only about half as good as New Era last week, getting cut down 39-20. Venom has two games this week so it is a valid question to ask if they intend to pace themselves to keep some gas in the tank for later in the morning. Techs, meanwhile, need to get their offense moving more like tecno and less like elevator music.

Nightmare   +4   Trendsetters

Two 3rd place teams  meet up to continue their climb up the standings. Nightmare was exactly what their name implied as they got back to their winning ways by Freddy Krueguer-izing Stealth 26-donut. Trend Setters has been no slouch, winning their last two games after dropping their first two. Trend Setters put the Mud Dawgs down 45-21. The Book is not sure the Setters are the real deal even if they are trending upwards so a possible crash and burn on the Field of (Bad) Dreams is the prediction here.

Stealth     +31 ½        Regulators

Stealths offense evaporated in the morning sun for the second straight week as they were bumped in the night by Nightmare 26-0. That was the warm up. For laughs and giggles they get to take on a Regulators team that makes regular visits to the north side of 40+ points a game. The Regs are undefeated and are tied for first in offense in the entire league. Stealth needs to de-Regulate the Regulators to have any chance of being a top seed in B. The Book is not sure the Regulators are willing to cooperate.

Venom   +12   Regulators

The Game of the Week features two undefeated teams looking to lay early claim to being the best in A. Regulators will be fresh going into this game but at least the Poison Peeps will have had a couple hours of rest after their Techs game. This game will hinge on the Venom defense. They need to register regular coverage on Regulators if they want to jump into the A division pole position.

Vendetta      +4 ½        New Era

The defending A Champs have struggled early on this season but get a chance to heal real quickly against a Vendetta squad which seems to only have a vendetta against Ws in their win column. Vendetta has had a week to sit in the corner and think deeply about their winless ways and hopefully formulate a game plan to turn the Tide against a New Era team which Super Bowl XXI-ed the Techs by the score of 39-20. New Era doesnt want to fall too far behind the division leaders, especially since the top two will be playing each other.

Blaze      -33          Athletes

Blaze has been en fuego against their opposition, Michael Vick-ing the Dawgs 40-6. They did eventually lose to Expendables but they will continue their mastery of B by taking on the sub-basement Athletes, bottom feeders and losers  to What 22-0. Tony has been on target this season and the Blaze defense has been nothing short of a firewall to opposing team offenses. Athletes will need to re-discover the meaning of offense in this game.

What      -12 ½           Expendables

What? Was more like WHAT! Outshouting the Bad-letes 22-chicken egg. They now visit the upstart Expendables who are 4th in B and pulled out a thriller versus undefeated Blaze 28-27. Vince is keeping a steady ship and has the Expendables at a very dependable 2-1. Can they keep up their offensive prowess going against the number one defense in the league?

Mud Dawgs   +14       Nightmare

The Mudders will have a chance to pick over Nightmare once theyre done with the Trend Setters. Mud Dawgs experienced spontaneous combustion at the hands of Blaze, getting lit up like the Deepwater Horizon oil rig a couple of years ago 40-6. They now put their feeble defense in front of Kaepernick Jr and the Nighmar-a-thon offense. They just keep running.and the Book believes they will run off the field with another W.

Yeah, that is what the line says, but your description doesn't and I was referring to the Trend Setters game.

So I got your message, and we won both our games.

LOL....Wolfe, look at the last sentence. I said the Book wasn;t sure if Trend Setters was the real deal even though, by my formula, they were favored. I did predict a crash and burn on your home field (Field of (Bad) Dreams). :P
