Ya gotta hate these A vs B games. And What loses a close game to FNG while Montellies gets torched by Nightmare 30-6. This looks like the kind of game And What can get really healthy in and there's no reason to think it can't happen.
Brigade +8 1/2 FNG
FNG hopes to parlay it's close win last week into something more substantial this week. Brigade put up a heck of a fight but ended up bowing to Sho Nuff by a point. Now they hope to hook some fish but we think in the end that it will be the Noodle who gets baited.
So Hood +1 Sho Nuff
Show Nuff is starting to flex its newfound A-Division muscles now and just night show the Hood that they ARE the master! So Hood is a little disoriented after dropping their second straight against the Vets. This pretty much shows that despite their best efforts the A-Division is still a two-horse race. So Hood needs to show Nuff that they still have a little Kung Fu action grip against these young upstarts.
Fusion -3 Vets
Wow.....way to set up a no-win situation for Fusion, Glenn. If Fusion wins, well it seems they were "supposed" to win because "everyone" is at the state tourney. If Fusion loses then how could they lose to a team that didn't have "everyone" there? Looks like the Vets don't need everyone especially when playing So Hood as they came back at the very end to beat them on a pretty bomb up the middle 12-7. Fusion strangulated Blaze 27-7. Is this Clash of the Titans or will we really have to wait till the Super Bowl?
Bad Company +10 Battalion
What has happened to Battalion and for how much longer will they remain missing in action? Bad Company rolls into town after losing to Mean Machine in the Toilet Bowl. They take on a Battalion team that didn't even get to PLAY, taking a zero courtesy of Desperadoes. Does Battalion have a roster of invisible men? It seems so. And if the Company Men show up and toe the company line then they just might make Battalion keep good company with loss number 4.
The Expendables +31 Desperadoes
The Expendables have finally been released from the hospital after suffering third degree burns over 100% of their defense courtesy of the Dark Knights who lit them up like a Christmas Tree for 50 points. They try to heal from their incendiary encounter with the B-Division's first place team by laying on the train tracks for the second place Desperadoes. The Despoes basically had Father's Day off, happily taking a 17-0 forfeit win against Platoon (not enough players to be a Battalion). Can the Ex-men (and women) outgun the Despoes? Can they keep within 20?
Blaze +23/1/2 Dark Knights
Can Blaze or anybody else cool the Hot Rod slingin' the rock for DK? DK hung a half century worth of points around the necks of the Expendables while Blaze travelled into A-Division territory and got splattered by Fusion. I'm sure that doesn't shake the confidence of Blaze's defense that was the best until that week. Do they have the ability to get after Rodney and slow down the DK track stars?
Mean Machine +22 1/2 TK Express
Can anyone figure out TK Express? Perhaps they are the ones that should be called Enigma after getting out-Enigma'd 26-12. Mean Machine finally got a little mean and swiped a victory from BC 16-12. Can the Express get back on track or will the M&M melt in their little hands?
Enigma -2 Nightmare
This game sounds like all kinds of fun as well as a study in contrasts. How will the Big Bad Wolfe fare against the vertical rope-a-dope style of Nightmare? Enigma has been all kinds of hot after derailing the Express last week. Nightmare has been no slouch themselves after smacking around Montellies. It's purple versus...uh..well...not-purple.
