No just like we have 8 capts we have a draft and since were keeping stats this season we can award points just like a normal fantasy draft. So its just about stats.
If the fantasy league team doesn't get off the ground I'd have a quick and dirty idea for a fantasy league involving entire teams if y'all are interested in listening to the idea.
I have been in this league longer than some of you are old. With that being said, any idea.....and I mean ANY idea, you can think of have been brought up to Larry. He has been open to doing most of the ideas. When it comes time to put up or shut up, everyone shuts up. People talk all the talk but no one wants to walk the walk. I say forget all the ideas because no one ever follows through. No disrespect to anyone or their ideas. We have tried it all before.
If it's too difficult to track players stats (and let's face it Glenn, if it's too difficult then most people won't do it) then why not draft teams? Draft an offensive team and a defensive team and pit your offensive team vs. an opponent's defensive team and vice versa.
Example:
I have Fusion and Battalion's offense and So Hood and Montellie's defense. Wolfe has Vets and Enigma's offense and Battalion's and Dark Knights defense.
We look at the matchups and i decide to go with Fusion offense and So Hood defense Wolfe decides to go Vets offense and Battalion defense (but of course)
Now...let's say, this Sunday Fusion scores 38 points and So Hood allows 13 points. And for Wolfe, Vets score 26 points and Battalion allows 19.
I put up my offense against Wolfe's defense. Fusion scores 38 and Battalion allows 19. That makes my total 57. For Wolfe the Vets score 26 and my So Hood defense gives up 13. That's a total of 39.
I get the W. I'm 1-0 going into my week 2 matchup versus my next opponent.
You can do an 8 game season and then a 2 game playoffs since the season is 10 weeks.
your rewarding teams for giving up points? wouldnt you subtract that and then total it out.. lets say a team gives up 60..... it has happen! scores 0... you have a total of 60 because of bad D.... I would get the worst D and the best O then!!!
or do there +/- on defense if they give up 12 but score 24 you would get 12 then add it to offense
