Two seasons ago, we were on defense and cornered a QB on the rush.
The QB made a cut back that forced him to put his hand on the ground.
We thought he was down and stopped but the play continued on for a big gain.
Was told at the time it was a new rule allowed.
Had a conversation today about it and thought maybe it shouldn't be a allowed because all it takes is a low, fast cutback as the rusher or any defensive player, reach down for the flag and wham! a head to the chin, mouth or nose.
What say you TBFFA?
